Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations is a very familiar term for everybody who has dealt with enterprise resource planning systems (ERP). With an experience of more than two decades: The former AXAPTA was developed in 1998 by the Danish company Damgaard A / S. Two years later, the company merged with Navision A / S. In 2002 Microsoft took over the company Navision-Damgaard also including the  product Microsoft Business Solution Axapta, as it was then called. Renamed in Microsoft Dynamics AX and now Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, it became a global ERP system that combines both functionality and usability packed into an intuitive, roll-based user interface. The standard range of functions has been significantly expanded by numerous specifically designed industry solutions. Significant added value has been achieved through the integration of Microsoft Office products and interfaces to Microsoft solutions such as SharePoint (Collaboration and Enterprise Portal) and Skype for enterprises (communication).
