The challenges
There was no centralised order management across eight departments, which meant that order documents and deadline adjustments had to be coordinated manually. The data model mapped in Power BI only allowed the data to be updated to a limited extent, a maximum of eight times a day. In addition, manual analyses of the key figures required a precise database and correct correlation, which significantly impaired efficiency.
Solution
The centralised digital application enables order management that can be viewed at any time, with changes immediately visible to all relevant employees. In the PIA production app, employees can see all orders every 2-3 seconds, allowing information to be passed on in real time. All internal processes and KPIs are visualised in Power BI dashboards and provide a uniform basis for fully automated evaluations and well-founded decisions.
